As part of efforts to build additional Internet Governance capacity within Western Africa, the West Africa Internet Governance Forum convened the 5th West African School on Internet Governance.

The session “Data Governance and Innovation: Who regulates?” discussed trends, opportunities, and challenges of Data governance in West Africa, as well as privacy and data protection and the implications of cross-border data flows.
