The Africa Digital Rights’ Hub under its Capacity Building, Advocacy, Sensitization & Awareness Programme geared towards advancing and promoting digital rights issues across the African continent, brings together academic researchers, stakeholders, policymakers, regional industry experts, and international bodies to address data protection and privacy issues on the Continent.
This year, their flagship event the Data Protection Africa Summit comes off under the theme ‘Data Protection Compliance: A Catalyst for Africa’s digital transformation’ in Kampala, Uganda from 2nd to 5th December 2024.
The main objective of the summit is to explore and shape policy, financing options, and various pathways to leverage technology and innovation to deliver infrastructure and services in critical sectors towards Africa’s economic transformation and sustainability.
Our Associate Researcher Morine Amutorine will speak on the ‘Privacy Enforcement in the Digital Age: Challenges, Solutions & Strategic Partnerships’ panel discussion on the second day of the summit.
