The Festival de Datos aims to strengthen data communities and our collective ability to unlock the value of data for all as we strive to achieve the Agenda 2030.
The Inclusive Data: The Foundations for Success Townhall at the Festival is co-organized by the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data, Data2X, and Sightsavers. The session created a space to bring in expertise on inclusive data from a digitalization, gender, youth, and disability lens and together shape a pathway for inclusive data processes and intersectionality.
The session focused on elevating the inclusive data agenda. An agenda that is the foundation of all data systems and which should remain a priority. Otherwise, all efforts, including AI and digitization will not solve all our problems if they don’t take an inclusive data approach.
The town hall held an interactive session to trigger debate among participants. It ended with some key next steps as commitments by the three host organizations.
Mariana Rozo-Paz, Policy & Research Associate at the Datasphere Initiative, provided insights from a youth perspective on why inclusive data is a foundation for success in the digitization journey.
