Laura is a recent MSc graduate from Utrecht University in The Netherlands where she studied Social Policy and Public Health. For her research thesis, she interned at an Amsterdam-based organization called Health Action International where she specialized in investigating European policies around Artificial Intelligence in pharmaceutical promotion and marketing strategies. This opportunity provided her with valuable practical knowledge of data governance, data privacy, and the GDPR. In addition to this internship, she worked as a research assistant in the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences at the University.
Previously, she gained an Honours BSc in Psychology with a Concentration in Developmental Psychology and a Minor in Disabilities Studies from Carleton University in Canada. Alongside her studies, she was an Officer Cadet for the Canadian Armed Forces.
Some of her extracurriculars activities included being a member of Utrecht University’s Honours College Young Innovators Programme and Carleton University’s Model United Nation Society.
Laura is currently based in Paris, France. In her free time, she enjoys going running, gluten/lactose free baking, and embroidery.
