The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data has joined the Datasphere Initiative as an in-kind partner. The partnership will foster collaboration between the two organizations and their networks as they work to shape a fair data future.
“The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data is leading important work to challenge power structures in data and to ensure that we all share in the benefits from its collection and use. Their campaign to ensure better data futures, which we support, #DataValues, is a core example of this work. The Datasphere Initiative is pleased to join forces in areas that support our common vision to responsibly unlock the value of data for all” said Carolina Rossini, Director of Partnerships and Research, Datasphere Initiative.
Both organizations are fostering networks of organizations working to leverage data to address global challenges such as climate change, and health across a range of sectors, communities, and regions.
As part of the partnership, the Datasphere Initiative and the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data will collaborate on outreach activities and communications efforts to encourage dialogue and action to support the responsible use of data in sustainable development.
“The Datasphere Initiative brings together critical perspectives, research, and practical experience to understand our evolving digital world and articulate how we can unlock data responsibly, for the benefit of all. The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data looks forward to collaborating and building synergies across our work.” Jenna Slotin, Senior Director of Policy, Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data.
